About Megumi Ohori: Megumi Ohori is a Japanese idol singer and a member of the group AKB48. She is part of AKB48’s ‘Team K’, and so far the group’s oldest member. In October 2008 she debuted as a solo artist under the name Meshibe Ohori, releasing a solo single, “Ami Kokansetsu”. The single met a successful challenge to sell 10,000 copies; if that goal had not been reached, Megumi would have been graduated out of the band. To date, she is a featured vocalist on the AKB48 single Baby! Baby! Baby!

About the site: My Sweet Meetan is a worship blog for AKB48 member Megumi Ohori founded by CJ Marsicano (The Groove Music Life, So Hot She Shits Fire) and Christopher “CK” Kunody (CK’s H!P Blog, Chuo Dori). The blog’s title comes from a combination of the English translation of the title of Megumi’s first solo single “Amai Kokansetsu” (My Sweet Kokansetsu, released under the assumed name Meshibe Ohori) and Megumi’s nickname “Meetan-hime”. 

CJ came up with the blog title and hosts the blog on the same server as The Groove Music Life and SHSSF. The domain name was mutually agreed upon by CJ and CK, the two (mostly Chris) figuring that having megumiohori.com would get more hits than mysweetmeetan.com or amaimeetan.com. Fortunately, no one claimed megumiohori.com yet until CJ did! 

All media (pictures and video, mostly) will be hosted independently on this site unless otherwise noted.
