This is My Favorite Idol (Abunae DVD Pt. 1)

Have you purchased your copy of Ohori’s DVD yet? I promise you it is totally worth the money. In fact it far exceeded my expectations. So if you haven’t (what’s wrong with you?), I am going to give you the highlights in hopes to persuade you to finally pull the trigger. There are separate 10 scenes. And so I don’t overload this post with pics, I will present it in two parts.
By the way, you may have noticed the title of this post “This is My Favorite Idol”. Obviously it’s no secret who my oshimen is. But this is such an exceptional DVD. To me it totally speaks to why she is such an amazing woman, person and performer. I can’t watch it without thinking “this why she is my #1 girl”, and as I think that my heart swells with pride. The DVD is very much a valentine to her fans. And in a way these posts serve as my personal valentine back to her. So here we go!
Sensual Meetan

The opening scene starts innocently enough. Meetan is a conservative outfit strolling through what looks like a beautiful cabin. The classical piano tinkling in the background is gorgeous. And since this is a Meetan DVD…
The clothes come off to reveal the sexy girl we all know and love. Not that she is disrobing in every scene. Meetan has much more to offer her fans than that. And you will see what I mean as the picspam progresses. By the way, the music is beautiful throughout this DVD. That is one of the many compliments I want to give the producers.
Small Town Girl (Part 1)

This is one of my favorite scenes in the DVD. Meetan strolling through a sleepy town wearing a Kimono. The latin-guitar accompaniment just adds to the beauty of the moment. And Megumi playing the games at the local arcade was beyond cute. I just love this little locale. So quiet, so pretty. I would love to know where it was filmed.
It is so great to watch Ohori acting youthful and cute. The lollipop she is sucking on throughout just adds to the adorable innocence of the scene. It’s a theme that carries into the next part…
Small Town Girl (part 2)

This is the scene that includes Meetan disrobing in the car. I have already posted pics of that in the preview. But my favorite moment had to be when she stops to look at a pool of tortoises on the side of the road. “Kame kame kame!!!” So kawaii!
Later on she is strolling through town in that beautiful brown one-piece dress. What doesn’t come through in the pics is the outfit is slightly transparent. So as she is walking around you can see her lingerie underneath. I love what they did with the photography here. It sort of a “Kodak Moment”. Actually, it would have been cool if they did this throughout the DVD.
The Spa…Sexy and Beautiful

This is a great example of how the music completely directs the mood of the scene. The producers could have easily used a different type of music to emphasize the sexiness of what was happening. But instead the piano makes the entire scene tasteful and beautiful. They go a completely different route for the next scene…
Just Plain Sexy!

You may recognize this outfit as the one featured in the recent issue of FRIDAY.

Another great example of the music setting the mood. Unlike the previous scene, this one features music you might hear in your average adult film. Hey, we knew there there would be some risque moments in this DVD. I would’ve been disappointed if there weren’t any. But damn, those garters and stocking are totally hawt!
Questions with Ohori

There are four interview style scenes in this DVD. What is she talking about? Hell if I know. But it doesn’t matter whether or not I understand everything she says. Some might say “it’s the music, not the words”. And Meetan’s enthusiasm comes through in these interviews. I could listen to Meetan talk all day!

If the DVD ended here it would be totally worth the purchase, right? But there are five more awesome scenes to go over. I will cover them in the next post.
