Meetan recently revealed that she “occasionally likes to indulge in eating meat.  Occasionally?  I don’t know about that.  It seems like every other day she is showcasing a savory meal on her Ameba blog.

By the way, that one photo looks like she is about to eat a “Tommy-burger”.  Anyone from Southern Cali will know exactly what I’m talking about.  In all fairness, Meetan does take excellent care of her body inside and out.  Sure she likes to indulge on occasion.  But judging from what she writes, she is extremely conscientious.  And she is always treating us to her latest health and beauty tips.  To her credit, as much as she blogs about food I rarely see her mentioning unhealthy snacks.

With all of the different idol blogs I read, I can’t believe so many of these girls stay so thin.  Half of the posts are about food!  Meetan too!!!  That said, some of my favorite Ohori posts are the entries that show some recipe she prepared.  She is noted for her expertise in home economics, and it is widely known that she is an exceptional cook.  Just another one of those traits that make her a good “catch”.  (hehe)

As I have always said, Meetan should publish a book.  Just include lots of sexy pics, okay?

Meetan spent this past weekend at Makuhari Messe in Chiba.  She took part in AKB48’s Ponytail to Shushu handshake meeting.  Wow, AKB48’s hs events are becoming huge if they have to rent out convention center space to hold them.  It wasn’t too long ago that they held these things on the 8th floor of the Donki.  By the way, for all of you “history revisionists” that like to say that AKB48’s single sales are an illusion, care to explain this?  I didn’t think so…

Anyway, one of the cool things about this event…Many of the girls evidently appeared in casual attire for the handshakes.  Meetan choosing to wear two completely different types of outfits.  And per her official blog, she wants to know which one you prefer?

It was almost a year ago when I had finally scored that elusive 2-shot ticket and immediately put in for a chance to meet Ohori in person.  Those hopes were dashed when she injured herself during MaiMai’s marathon run.  Fortunately I got a chance to meet her during SDN48’s “High Touch” which is done after most SDN48 performance at the DQ.

Yes, I have thought about that 2-shot for almost a year.  But when you have patience and perseverance, the rewards will eventually come your way…

Kawaii!!!  I finally got my chance to “sleep with Meetan”  It was an epic day, one I will never forget!

One of the most popular items sold at the AKB48 Theater are the monthly B.L.T.s.  I enjoy buying them when I visit, especially since each pack comes with a chance to win a 2-shot with your favorite member.  At least they used to.  I’m not sure if they still do.  Since last fall, the B.L.T.s have been sold in the new team formations, which means Meetan, Nonti, CinDy and Yukarin haven’t had pics.  But that all changed at the end of the year…

There hasn’t been a ton of noteworthy news around Ohori as of late.  But that doesn’t mean she hasn’t been busy.  No way!  She was quite busy at AKB48’s Shibuya AX concerts last week, participating in over a dozen songs and doing the final MC before the #1 performance.  In addition to her work with SDN48, last weekend she also performed in three Team K shows.

I mentioned a few times in the previous post how much I liked the production of this DVD.  The music, the camera shots.  The entire package far exceeded my expectations.  I didn’t know until I received my copy that it was produced by Pony Canyon.  Wow!  I have been saying for awhile now how much I love the work they are doing over at that label.  Pony Canyon produces Idoling!!!, Buono! and Watarirouka Hashirtai.  Three J-pop units I really like.  The folks over there really know how to put out a quality product.

Meetan The Animal Lover

This scene is soooo adorable.  If you read Meetan’s blog, you’ll know that she is a dog lover.  She often posts pictures of her dog when she visits her parent’s house.  It’s so much fun watching her interact with the little dog in this scene, and she looks like she is having the time of her life.  The lite-jazz/rock music of this scene helps to create an uplifting atmosphere, even at the most sexy of moments.  And when she is done with the dog…

She finds a stuffed bunny.  I’m dying!!!  I can’t even begin to describe how cute this was!  This scene is probably my favorite of all.  This or the Kimono scene toward the beginning.  I can’t decide!

Idols at the beach is usually an image DVD prerequisite.  And I had never seen her do a beach scene before, so this was new to me.  It was really hard to screencap because she was running around so much.  Most of the pics I took came out blurry.  But it was fun watching her run around the beach.  Meetan is actually pretty fast.

I loved the big jumps.  She did it a few times, and this was the best shot I got.

Exotic Meetan

Okay, this is where my ultimate fantasy comes into play.  The ethereal soundtrack made this scene even more beautiful.  Ohori looks positively radiant here.  Was this shot somewhere in Japan?  It looks so exotic.  It reminds me of Hawaii…or even Mexico.  My guess is they traveled far from Tokyo to film this part.

I guess you could say it is my dream to take Ohori to an exotic and isolated beach, and…

Contrary to popular belief, Meetan actually is NOT topless in this scene.  I know in the previews she is holding her arm across her breasts like she isn’t wearing anything.  But she is really wearing a thin wraparound top.  I love this Jacuzzi, it’s a beautiful spot to do a photoshoot!

Question #3 for Ohori

During this question she spoke about AKB and SDN.  I know she was originally upset last summer when they announced she was graduating to SDN48 full-time.  I think by now she has come to terms with it.  And the fact that she is getting so much outside work right now surely eases the sting.  In some ways Meetan has outgrown AKB.  So it’s okay.  SDN48 is so great, and exactly where she belongs.

The Grand Finale

The final scene is a lot like the opening.  Ohori strolling through the cabin looking beautiful in her Yukata.  After a few moments of looking so pretty she begins to seduce the camera for one more steamy scene.  Yes, it wouldn’t be a Meetan DVD without moments like these.

She removes the Yukata slowly and methodically, aided by an extremely soft piano piece.  Megumi is so sensual.  I think for many of her fans it is this character trait that sets her apart from other idols.  It takes a certain kind of idol to pull off a scene like this.  Meetan is a full grown woman.  Sometimes the cute seifuku she wears in AKB clouds that fact.

By the way, you may have noticed the title of this post “This is My Favorite Idol”.  Obviously it’s no secret who my oshimen is.  But this is such an exceptional DVD.  To me it totally speaks to why she is such an amazing woman, person and performer.  I can’t watch it without thinking “this why she is my #1 girl”, and as I think that my heart swells with pride.  The DVD is very much a valentine to her fans.  And in a way these posts serve as my personal valentine back to her.  So here we go!

Sensual Meetan

The opening scene starts innocently enough.  Meetan is a conservative outfit strolling through what looks like a beautiful cabin.  The classical piano tinkling in the background is gorgeous.  And since this is a Meetan DVD…

The clothes come off to reveal the sexy girl we all know and love.  Not that she is disrobing in every scene.  Meetan has much more to offer her fans than that.  And you will see what I mean as the picspam progresses.  By the way, the music is beautiful throughout this DVD.  That is one of the many compliments I want to give the producers.

Small Town Girl (Part 1)

This is one of my favorite scenes in the DVD.  Meetan strolling through a sleepy town wearing a Kimono.  The latin-guitar accompaniment just adds to the beauty of the moment.  And Megumi playing the games at the local arcade was beyond cute.  I just love this little locale.  So quiet, so pretty.  I would love to know where it was filmed.

It is so great to watch Ohori acting youthful and cute.  The lollipop she is sucking on throughout just adds to the adorable innocence of the scene.  It’s a theme that carries into the next part…

Small Town Girl (part 2)

This is the scene that includes Meetan disrobing in the car.  I have already posted pics of that in the preview.  But my favorite moment had to be when she stops to look at a pool of tortoises on the side of the road.  “Kame kame kame!!!” So kawaii!

Later on she is strolling through town in that beautiful brown one-piece dress.  What doesn’t come through in the pics is the outfit is slightly transparent.  So as she is walking around you can see her lingerie underneath.  I love what they did with the photography here.  It sort of a “Kodak Moment”.  Actually, it would have been cool if they did this throughout the DVD.

The Spa…Sexy and Beautiful

This is a great example of how the music completely directs the mood of the scene.  The producers could have easily used a different type of music to emphasize the sexiness of what was happening.  But instead the piano makes the entire scene tasteful and beautiful.  They go a completely different route for the next scene…

Another great example of the music setting the mood.  Unlike the previous scene, this one features music you might hear in your average adult film.  Hey, we knew there there would be some risque moments in this DVD.  I would’ve been disappointed if there weren’t any.  But damn, those garters and stocking are totally hawt!

Questions with Ohori

There are four interview style scenes in this DVD.  What is she talking about?  Hell if I know.  But it doesn’t matter whether or not I understand everything she says.  Some might say “it’s the music, not the words”.  And Meetan’s enthusiasm comes through in these interviews.  I could listen to Meetan talk all day!

If the DVD ended here it would be totally worth the purchase, right?  But there are five more awesome scenes to go over.  I will cover them in the next post.
